Esomeprazole
Description
Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that suppresses gastric acid secretion by specific inhibition of the H+/K+-ATPase, the Proton Pump of the gastric parietal cell.
Indications
Esomeprazole is indicated
*To relieve from chronic heartburn symptoms and other symptoms associated with GERD
*For the healing of erosive esophagitis
*For maintenance of healing of erosive esophagitis
*In combination with amoxicillin and clarithromycin for eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection in-patients with duodenal ulcer disease.
*Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome
*Acid related Dyspepsia
*Duodenal & Gastric ulcer
Supply
Sergel® 20mg capsule: Box containing 15x6 capsules in Alu-Alu blister pack.
Sergel® 40mg capsule: Box containing 5x6 capsules in Alu-Alu blister pack.
Sergel® 20mg tablet: Box containing 3x10 tablets in Alu-Alu blister pack.
Sergel® 40mg tablet: Box containing 3x10 tablets in Alu-Alu blister pack.
Sergel® 40mg IV injection: Each box contains 1 vial of lyophilized Esomeprazole 40 mg and 1 ampoule of 5 ml 0.9% Sodium Chloride BP injection for intravenous injection and 1 sterile syringe (5ml).
